Megara and progress methinks.

So if you don't recognise this lady, shame on you! She is none other then the beautiful, powerful and sassy Meg from disney's hercules. 
Now she will have eyes, I just haven't painted them on yet what with being in college and the like.
The progress bit of the title refers to the fact that I made the whole piece from scratch. Not just meg herself, no. I recently bought some chain in different colours. I wanted to try out making pieces in their entirety instead of just putting everything on the black chords. That is sufficient for a lot of my jewellery and charms but not for more special pieces that require lots of time and effort. So she is on the chain and does not come off. The two sparkling pices with the little silver leaves I think they are, or flowers were removed from another piece of jewllery my mother bought but never wore. So I measured the chain, Opened the links at the right number on either side of where meg sits, and closed them again once the embellishments were added, attached the clasp in the same manner and a silver medium jump ring as the receiver for the clasp. I'm really happy with it and all the possibilities it opens. I can now make pieces that are truly professional and special.
