Cactus owl

This adorable little guy is going to be one of the presents for my mum's birthday near the end of July. He just sort of came to me out of nowhere and I fell in love with his simple design. I added some paint in streaks and on the tips of the spikes to give it a bit more oomph as the piece was rather smooth and plain. Oh and the base is done in different colours of brown clay that were baked and then cut up. A very small food blender would have saved me an infinite amount of time hand chopping those. Could have also maybe only part cured them to make them softer to cut without flying all over the place ^_^
I'm falling in love with the use of these plant pots when they don't crack while I put the tinfoil in. Have to be careful though because if anything liquid touches them they dry it out and absorb it instantly, including glue and liquid fimo ( even when baked!) which can ruin the look of them rather easily.
